How PDF85 handles uploaded documents

Uploaded PDFs are stored using unique internal filenames so simultaneous uploads with the same original name do not collide. The original filename is retained only as metadata for display and user-friendly download naming.

Temporary upload and generated-output files are configured for automatic cleanup after approximately 24 hours. Cleanup runs opportunistically during normal application requests.

Only upload files you own or are authorized to process. Organizations handling regulated, confidential or highly sensitive documents should evaluate whether any online processing service meets their own security, retention and compliance requirements.

PDF85 processing endpoints are marked with X-Robots-Tag noindex headers so search engines are not instructed to index API responses or temporary processing operations.
